Trick Plays
In scoring position at second base, a Rockie was tagged for the third out. How was he tricked and who was the player? :-o

It was the hidden ball trick, where the pitcher stands off the rubber and the mi has the ball. I believe that was the one where the second baseman had the ball. I'm going on a guess with Bip Roberts.

Didn't I read a story about a player that got picked off of second base because he was reading something that they put up on the electronic scoreboard? If it wasn't this then my vote would be the hidden ball trick as well.

Don't know the player, but guessing that whoever it was aked for and was not granted time-out. He then stepped off the base and was tagged out?

the 2b pretended to throw the ball to the pitcher and McCracken got up to brush off and got tagged

I don't know the specifics of the play, but it had something to do with the opposing team running off the field like there were three outs.
