No surprise (we'll be hearing that a lot) - Joe Mauer (catcher) and Justin Morneau (first base) of the Twins. Starry night

And it's Vlad Guerrero of Texas at AL DH.
Now for the NL.
Yadier Molina of St. Louis gets the nod at catcher.

the padres have been in first place all year long, and have one all star. they have the best pitching staff in the game, and not one of them was worthy. soo figures.
Overall looks OK. Omar Infante seems a curious choice. I get that he can play multiple positions and is hitting .311, but it's a very hollow .311 and he only has some 170 PA or so. It's especially curious when guys like Votto and Zimmerman didn't make it. And it's not like he's the "token" Brave...they already have McCann, Prado, Heyward, and Hudson. Michael Bourn being an all star is also pretty sad, but the stacked NL starting pitching made it tough on Oswalt to make it.
Tough final vote choice in the NL...all very legitimate candidates...but Votto's gotta be the choice I think.

Particularly, Mat Latos deserved strong consideration. Like Oswalt, he was another victim of a stacked NL pitching staff, starting pitching-wise.
I can't understand Carmona and Thornton over Choo and Rios. Was the AL light on pitching? Also, I think Howard over Votto was a bad decision although not surprising with Manuel picking the reserves. CarGo would be a better than usual final vote winner but Votto's even better.

Carmona and Thornton over Liriano and King Felix.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
Charlie Manuel should be checked to see if he is on drugs. Omar Infante? WTF! how and the hell can Infante be an ALL STAR when he isnt even a regular starter on his own team?! Infante on the team is a joke!
i really really hate the last vote in. its so ridiculous! there will be multiple players that wont make it because someone else gets the last vote in.
Magglio Ordonez deserves to be in there. .310 AVG, 46 R, 10 HR, 50 RBI. not even nominated for the final vote in.
I'm glad that Strasberg did not get in. he doesnt deserve to be there this season.
I can understand the likes of Carmona/Thornton because you have to have one player from every team.
they should expand the rosters. even if you have multiple players that don't get into the game, it would be worthy of them just to be selected.
