The Indians have said that he should come back much sooner than that 6-8 week time frame. He will wear a protective brace for 7-10 days and get evaluated after the break. From CBS "'It's good news, but we're still going to have to wait ... and see where that takes us,' manager Manny Acta said. 'But that will be a great boost for us if he doesn't need to have that surgery and we can have him back a lot shorter than we were anticipating. A lot quicker.'"
As a Shin-Bone owner myself, let's hope he doesn't get surgery and returns in August to his 25/25 pace that he was on before the injury.
