Trade Help - Longoria keeper trade

Postby DJK413 » Sat Jul 03, 2010 8:59 am

I am in first place, I have Longoria for three more years cheaply in our keeper league, am I getting enough back to justify trading him (5x5 league):

I give: Longoria, Wieters, Ellsbury
I get: Michael Young, Mauer, Crawford

Thanks

I'd stand pat. Longo is the best of the deal, and I think Weiters will come around, as he is too talented not to. Ellsbury will also, once he get's off the injury.

I think Longo is a perennial top 3 player...There is not enough here to justify his loss...I know he is in a small slump right now, but a lot of that is due to the Rays Offense as a whole...He is not seeing a ton of pitches right now...All this and the evidence that Mauers power surge in 09 was a fluke....stand pat

I agree with what's said above. Longo is the best player in the deal, a healthy Ellsbury competes with Crawford for the best speed player, and Wieters could still turn things around. Mauer is still the top catcher but with the injury problems and the disappearance of his power he's probably now overrated in fantasy leagues.

If you say that you have Longoria for the next three years cheaply what is the cost of all the other players and for how long? More than likely I would keep what you have but I want more info before making that decision.
