Trade Shields and F Cordero for E Andrus? WHIR 100%

I was offered Elvis Andrus for Coco Cordero and J Shields. I would love to land Andrus. He should only get better as it heats up in Texas. Another owner wants my BJ Upton for one of his pitchers..possibly Jared Weaver. Should I get Andrus? WHIR 100%

My philosophy has always been to take the better hitters over pitchers. But in this scenario your pitching is TERRIBLE aside from King Felix. So as of now, unless you can get better pitching in a deal then I wouldn't do it. And as for the BJ Upton deal.... I wouldn't. You don't have anyone to take his place, and Weaver is at the highest point he will be at this season. He is trying to sell high on him, don't take it.

My thoughts were Weaver >> Shields. And Andrus would be a huge upgrade over Yuniel. I would then drop Escobar and Corpas, so I would have 3 open spots. I could grab Happ, Wandy and Medlan. I would be hurting with saves, but eventually M Gonzalez should get his job back and I think it's only a matter of time before Demel takes over. Plus..Upton isn't really giving me anything more then steals.

When you look at it all together it does look like a good plan actually.... lol. But your saves would still be taking a huge hit...

H2H or Roto league

if it's H2H i'd make the deal and make the aforementioned moves after. Saves are always a luck category week-to-week anyway.
Roto i'd stay put. you can't just punt a category in Roto for any amount of time

It is a 5x5 head to head league.

My saves would definitely be taking a hit, but it's not like I was lighting the saves up anyway.

Looking at it in detail, and given it's H2H I'd probably pull the trigger on the moves you were looking at. With those three open spots (and I say this figuring most are taken) try and find some set-up guys who could poach saves. Guys like Evan Meek (if Dotel gets dealt he'd be in line), or Chris Perez (same thing with Wood).

i'd do both deals if you can. andrus's speed is very valuable at SS and weaver is better than upton. however, you really need to consider dealing youk, felix or cano in a strong 2 for 1 package. you need more talent overall.

I would take both deals, epecially the Andrus deal..I may be a little shy on the Upton deal if you think you will be losing steals too much, mostly because you cant afford to take a hit in saves and steals both
