I have never seen anything he's done that makes me say I hate him as a player or a person. He always seems to bring his A game to the field and looks like he enjoys playing as well. He's had some bad playoff runs but that can happen to anybody. I hate the Yankees organization as much as the next guy but I like a lot of their players and ARod is definitely one of my favorites. If there's something he did off the field, I guess I don't know since I don't really pay attention to the tabloids. I know he seems like a team player and a guy who enjoys playing the game and his stats speak for themself. That's good enough for me.

OK, he's self absorbed. A lot of athletes are. But, I don't see that attitude on the field nor have I heard people say he's a bad teammate which is all that should matter to a baseball fan for the most part.

that Scott Boras is good isn't he? I don't understand why people hate him too.
