Keeper trade help

I am in a 12 team keeper league where we can keep 6 out of 30 players. I have Victor Martinez for my catcher and he is out for a while. I picked up Pierczinski from the waiver wire when I put Martinez on the DL. Another owner has offered me Miguel Montero and Zach Grienke for Austin Jackson and Justin Verlander. I can afford to give up Jackson, I think, but I don't know if it is worth it to pick up a player, Montero, that will not necessarily be a starter for me when Martinez is healty. Would you recommend that I make the trade or live with AJ until Martinez is ready to play again?

considering the difference between greinke and verlander is so small i'd make the deal if you are in contention.

I would do the trade. Montero is a better fantasy catcher than Pierzynski and will produce while V-Mart is out. Worst case, V-Mart comes back and you trade one (likely Montero). Greinke and Verlander are both very good, and I feel Greinke is the better keeper.

Thanks all! I am a Tiger fan and needed some unbiased views on the subject. And I definately would be dropping AJ if I get Montero, there aren't many hot prospects left in the league with 360 roster positions + 48 DL slots to be filled but I'm sure I can find somebody worth taking his place. If nothing else, I can use the spot when one of my injured players comes back. I have not only Victor Martinez, but also Chase Utley, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Mike Gonzalez on the D.L. right now.

It wound up better for me, I think. I got Grienke and Montero and gave up Verlander and Aroldis Chapman. Did I do OK in your opinion?
