I have a serious problem. This league is really shallow. I'm 2 game back in my division and the guy in first place is subbing in pitchers everyday, ending up with like 20 or so starts a week. The waiver wire is filled with talent. I feel like i can't miss out on jorge de la rosa or edison volquez. But i'm completly lost on who i should drop. I thought maybe drop fuentes and have colby lewis take his spot in relief. But i'm completly puzzled. I've never been in a league with so many options. I picked up Greinke,Hudson,Hanson,Kershaw,Romero from the waiver wire its that crazy.I put stars next to the potential candidates i was thinking about dropping for either de la rosa or volquez. I hear that de la rosa will be back sooner so i mite lean towards him.

i think you oughta list your whole team and a bunch of the choices out there... it's kind of hard to say you should cut X for Y when you don't know what you're up against.
also, how many SPs and RPs do you go into your weekly battles with?
theirs 5 SP spots and 2 RP Spots. Daily lineups.no roster move limit. I have one bench position player (chase utley ouch). I've kept my Relief pitchers the same Fuentes and Rauch.I haven't been subbing guys in and out because my staff is pretty good. but de la rosa and volquez are studs there gonna kill it down the stretch. and im getting sick of ricky romero and marcum being in the al east they get beat up alot. Colby lewis has been great and can go to the relief pitcher spot but i'm not fully convinced. And johnny cueto is getting hot. i really don't know what to do.
au contraire, mon frier. ricky romero hasn't given up more than 2ER to an AL east opponent this season. if you wanna get splitty, he's been damn near untouchable at home.
he did get his arse kicked by the angels on the road (and keep in mind he's from LA so maybe he was pressing with family and friends in the stands... granted he prolly pitched there last year, but still, going back home, even to orange county when he's from LA proper... these are human beings after all) and the whitesox and indians got him pretty good. otherwise, he's been dynamite.
in fairness to your AL east point, though, he hasn't played the redsox yet, and if i'm not mistaken they done took ricky out back for a few whoopings last year. then again, ricky has stepped up and improved in just about every tangible stat and metric this year, so i reckon he'll fare better against the redsox... how much better remains the question.
quite honestly, i think the kid is here to stay. i dunno if he'll stay under the 3.00 ERA marker this year, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
i wouldn't outright cut ricky romero, even in a "super shallow league" cuz odds are you'll rue the day you did that, especially if someone else nicks him from the FA pool / waiver wire.
I was leaning more towards marcum but he had a good outing last time. I really don't know. the reason i said them to is because having to pitchers on the same staff and in the al east is tough. Cueto and Volquez would have it easier. and de la rosa too
Well, since Fuentes appears to be your only closer, you might as well punt saves and cut him. Then again, with a pool that deep, you can probably afford to wait and see how Volquez/De La Rosa do in their first starts before making a move. By then, things may have sorted themselves out on your roster (aka, it might be more obvious who to cut).
I have Jon Rauch and Brian Fuentes. I'm open to dropping fuentes and picking up a starter. Any one else think thats a good move. I'd be trading fuentes weekly value for colby lewis Start or 2 each week.
Look at what marcum did today. this guy can't handle himself against the indians and im supposed to trust him every week in the al east. I think I'm goin to drop him when volquez gets back
