I'm about to drop somebody to activate Billingsley from the DL. i have the opportunity to grab one of the following starters and stash them in my DL slot. Jorge De La Rosa Brett Anderson JA Happ Edinson Volquez Jair Jurrjens Erik Bedard which one would you recommend? i was going back and forth between de la rosa and volquez, but now i really don't know. what do you guys think? i'm desperate for a solid starter for the remainder of the season.

Tons of good options here ... can't see you go wrong with too many of these guys really.
I'd go De La Rosa, Anderson, Volquez, Bedard, Jurrjens in that order.

I'm in the same situation as you. Both Volquez and De La Rosa are available. From what I've read about Edison I'm a believer again. De La Rosa numbers are good but I like Volquez upside. I'm about to grab him as well.

I'd go in this order: De La Rosa, Anderson, Volquez, Bedard, Jurrjens. Anderson will be the best pitcher of the group, but will likely pitch the most. That's why I gave De La Rosa the edge. Thanks for the help with mine.

de la Rosa for sure. Don't like Volquez because he's only 11 months off Tommy John and typical recovery to pre-injury success is about 16 months - or so "they" say.

Me personally i would go anderson de la rosa then volquez. Anderson when/if he can stay healthy puts up better numbers then the rest of the guys other then K's

I'd roll the dice on Volquez. For me - Volquez, De La Rosa, then Anderson.

Volquez would be my choice.
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray
