I have to throw Pujols back into the draft. I am in 1st place, but not by much at all and actually could be in second by week's end. Offense has been sporadic.
Do this deal?
Give: Pujols and Cain Get: Longoria and Matt Holliday
I could keep Longoria through next season. Holliday goes back into the draft. Cain can be kept through next season.
12 Team H2H League with 6 keepers (a * means the 3-year keeper contract expires after this year)
C Brian McCann* 1B Albert Pujols* 2B Chase Utley* 3B Alex Rodriguez* SS Derek Jeter OF Carl Crawford OF Curtis Granderson OF Andrew McCutchen UT James Loney UT Raul Ibanez UT Ryan Ludwick BN Alberto Callaspo BN Mike Stanton BN Pedro Alvarez BN Ian Stewart DL Jacoby Ellsbury
SP Roy Halladay* SP CC Sabathia* SP Ubaldo Jimenez SP Matt Cain SP Matt Garza SP James Shields SP Max Scherzer DL Brett Anderson DL Edinson Volquez
I don't think you are getting enough in return to be honest. It is an ok deal, but I would hold off until it gets closer to the deadline and see where you stand then.

i like the deal, i'd feel more comfortable if you could include a lesser pitcher, but I still like the deal. you're losing pujols and arod next year. Longoria can be kept. you've got a strong staff, especially when volquez and anderson come back. i think pujols will have a big 2nd half, but i also believe Longroia keeps putting up top notch numbers and Holliday always has a big second half.
