Fair offer. Best is yet to come from Tex but I think you could use Kemp more.

That's tough, but I think Kemp could be better for your team. He has power, usually a good average, and stolen bases. You have 2 other solid 1B, so I think I'd do it.
C: McCann
1B: Konerko
2B: Cano
SS: Reyes
3B: Freese
IF: Encarnacion
OF: Ethier, Jennings, Willingham, Quentin
UTIL: Freeman
BN: De Aza, Pagan, Aviles
DL: Ellsbury

i wouldn't do it. your essentially replacing Tex for Kemp. Everyone else in your lineup would remain. you already have a good balance in speed and power. stay with Tex and enjoy it.

Thanks for the help. I would do it. 1st base and outfield are both deep positions but you already have MCab at first, whereas in the outfield, Bourn has been struggling, Podsednik is far from a sure thing and Abreu is good but not going to put up huge numbers. Right now you're outfield seems a little weak and your 1st base is stacked. You may be just exchanging one star for another but it gives you the flexibility to drop Podsednik or Bourn and find a better hitter at a different position, while still strengthening your outfield.

thanks for your help...i am not a big believer in matt kemp...he may have good numbers I am still not sold on him..Tex is showing signs in the past few weeks he will turn it around and I think it would make it worth it when tex is on his game after the ASB

You could use Kemp more - based on need i would say go for it. But i do think Tex might put up better numbers. Kemp is a great player so if you make this deal you won't be sorry. They are both great players but i would only make the trade to fill a need in the OF. You have Cabrera at 1b so it makes sense.

With your other 1B I would do this deal.
