who do drop to help at 1B? WHIR

Postby mshimmyb2 » Fri Jun 25, 2010 2:47 am

C:Matt Wieters
1B:Justin Smoak
2B:Robinson Canó
3B:Chone Figgins
SS:Derek Jeter
OF: Andre Ethier, Vernon Wells, Curtis Granderson
UTL:José Reyes

SP:Kevin Correia, Jake Peavy, Liván Hernández, Kevin Slowey, Carl Pavano, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Jon Garland, John Lackey

RP:Frank Francisco, Matt Thornton

BN:
Rajai Davis (OF), John Buck (C), Adam Lind (OF), Ryan Madson
(RP) DL, Brett Anderson (SP) DL, Jorge De La Rosa (SP) DL

I need some help at 1B... should I drop Weiters or John Buck or maybe one of my many SPs? for any of these FAs?:
Gady Sanchez, Ty Wigginton, Ike Davis, Luke Scott, Lyle Overbay?

or should I just hope that Smoaks hot streak will continue and hit for the rest of the year?

What kind of league is this? H2H or roto? Also, what are the stats and categories?

Just by looking, I'd have to say Madson, Dice K, Buck... in that order.

Not much else out there, huh? I guess I'd go Sanchez or Wigginton, in that order too

Wow, ok ... a 14 teamer ... pretty deep league, dude. I guess guys like Buck do have value here. Even for a 14 teamer, Dice K is just so inconsistent. You honestly don't know what to expect from him, and if it's not that ... it's injuries. In a H2H league, I don't even think he's worth the risk and inconsistencies. And Madson won't be back for a while ... are there any better holds guys on FA? You already have Thornton, so that's not bad.
