- It's 2 parts correct stats from Monday thru Saturday. - Mixed with 1 part uncorrectable stats from Sunday. - Shaken over ice and served in a chilled sorry we don't have the "tool" to fix anything that happens on a Sunday.
It's delicious.
dude give it up already. Your personal vendetta is easily the most annoying thing on the leftovers board right now...
I thought it was quite funny. I'd rather see it that what you wrote. I know the formula Yahoo! uses, it's very similar to the baseballmonster link posted above, using STD DEVP and eliminating some outliers. Rate stats are calculated this way(adjust for baseball): http://www.fantasybasketballcafe.com/fo ... 01#p272701

HR + (SB/1.65) + [(H-.280*AB)*.6]+ R/3 + RBI/3
Great job, that's pretty good. One thing though, I see speedsters consistently ranked higher in Yahoo than by this formula. Looking at guys like Gardner, BJUp, Andrus, Reyes, Nyjer, Figgins, etc. Then again, that might also be because Yahoo puts more value to AVG (and the number of ABs used to derive that value) than the formula you're using, because Cruz and Boesch have fewer AB while speedy leadoff hitters have more.
What would HR + (SB/1.67) + [(H-.2725*AB)*.6]+ R/3 + RBI/3 look like?

I think you meant something like (SB/1.63). Dividing SB by a higher number will decrease it's weight in the formula further.
