Let's get some opinions here. Please list your top five closers (for fantasy purposes) from this point to the end of the 2010 season.

Maybe?
1. Rivera
2. Valverde
3. Broxton
4. Marmol
5. Soriano

1. Rivera
2. Broxton
3. Valverde
4. Soriano
5. Feliz

A more interesting top 5 would be current MRs most likely to assume closing duties post trade deadline.

1. Evan Meek
2. Brandon League
3. Chris Perez
4. Brandon Lyon
5. Tyler Clippard?

Storen... I'd like that, but I'm not sold on it. Street may be in for some more trouble, so I'm hesitant to put him in my top-10, let alone my top 5.

Not one mention of Bell yet... interesting.

1.) Broxton
2.) Rivera
3.) Bell
4.) Valverde
5.) Marmol
6.) Soriano
7.) Papelbon
8.) Feliz
9.) Soria
10.) Bailey
11.) Wilson
12.) Wagner

I find it interesting that Marmol seems to be rating higher than Soria. I don't necessarily disagree with it, but at first glace, I would have thought Soria would rate higher than Marmol. Is it the teams they play for? Marmol's K rate?

Heath Bells hits are up, his walks are up and his runs are up. He is 32 going on 33 and has tossed a lot of innings for the Friars over the last 4 years. I say its the perfect time for San Diego to shop him. Maybe the Mets would be interested. He is getting close to their age range.

Point of interest: not only does Marmol's massive K potential bode well for your K stat in fantasy, but it also produces a 2.15 FIP and 2.65 xFIP. At one point earlier on, he had a .360+ BABIP and a .150-ish BAA. :-D Earlier in the season, I ran the numbers and discovered that on average, batters make contact with less than one pitch per at bat. :-L Filthy.

SD has one of the best records in bases... I doubt they look to deal anyone away, more like bring someone in for a run at it.
