Thats what I do too. Most of the time I use the Free Select and sometimes I will use the scissors.

When you have several layers stacked, what function consolidates them?

Right click on one of the layers.
Merge Visable Layers.
Choose your option you want and click OK. FWIW for sigs I use Clipped to image.

My second attempt at a sig went much better than the last. Even used three different layers and threw some blue flames in that beotch. Thoughts? Also, this is addicting.

That's what I do too for all my sigs, but for something like the banner thingy I made above you really just need to resize the images. Screw cropping each and every image...the banner above took me two hours too long the way it is.
