Should I do this trade??

Postby amarlls » Tue Jun 22, 2010 2:28 pm

So i was thinking of offering my Pedroia and Granderson for his Fielder and Verlander?? Should I do this trade. I have got figgins to fill in at second and then fielder could go to CI or U and then use Cantu as bait to buy more steals somewhere. I just need the pitching. I started by offering grandy for verlander and he said no and then he countered back with fielder for my pedroia. Should I try this trade?

Fielder and Puljpus and Wright sound mouth watering at the corners!!!!!
Verlander is a Stud on a Stud Team

But the problem is you are trading away two 20-20 guys...are you sure you want to give up that type of balance?

Tough one......

sorry i couldnt be more helpful but when in doubt i stay put.

I would do it, Prince is typically a second half guy and Verlander would be a very helpful arm for your rotation

I would not make this trade. Fielder is having an "off" year and I never like to give up a big time hitter for a pitcher. Pitchers only help you once every five days, hitters are always going to make an impact. Finding a replacement for Pedroia is going to be extremely tough, Figgins is playing TERRIBLY. If you want a pitcher just go for a 1-1 deal.

Help with mine?

I'm bearish on both Pedoria and Granderson and bullish on both Fielder and Verlander. Given appropriate replacement (which you may or may not have in Figgings), I think this will be beneficial from here out.

I'd go with the Fielder side. Seems like a more than fair price for Fielder who usually is a slow starter but finishes seasons strong. I wouldn't worry about Fielder's power really. Verlander on the side for a fair price also makes this a yes.

I would want the Fielder side of that deal too. I would be surprised if it is accepted, but if he'll go for it, make the deal.

give me the fielder side of the deal also. you need to be prepared to offer grandy, pedroia and someone like billingsley or garza to get fielder and verlander.
