Gardner for Haren

I've come across an interesting trade proposition. The basics:

He really needs steals, I'm trying to develop my staff. I've recently stumbled into some outfield depth. SBs and semi-quality OFs are plentiful on the waiver wive (Juan Pierre, Nyjer Morgan, Andres Torres, Will Venable, Austin Jackson).

Thoughts?

Tough one, but I think I would do it.

I really love Gardener, and I'm not convinced that Lind makes it back to what we saw last year.

I also think Haren is historically weaker in the second half than in the first, although right now he is showing signs of coming about.

You have the OF depth to take the chance, so I say go ahead.

i'm not sure...your OF is strong, but Haren is usually better in 1st half of season than the 2nd... at the same time i think ARI is going to trade away a few bats that would give haren some run support...plus gardner is on the yankees...i'd probably try to make another package for haren

huge yankee fan...no way Gardner keeps up that 320 average...but he will give 50 steals......Haren will give the k's.....

I like the trade also. Your giving up huge steals but I think the plus of picking Haren is worth it to me. Go for it
