I took the "highs only in the 66-76 range" and the as meaning you were upset. Just wanted to let you know you might not be upset about 66-76 if you were here. We could also use some rain, I think it evaporates before it makes it to the ground.

Looking for thoughts on cost, benefit, items of note, etc...

Don't know anyone who has used it before. As Red attested, most people would do well to simply get their attic properly insulated and ventilated. Once that is done does some tinfoil make an appreciable difference? I dunno. I've heard people say that stuff loses its effectiveness when it starts getting dusty. Never used it myself though.

Gotcha. I don't mind the rain, I actually enjoy it, but this time of year even a a person who likes the rain has had enough. This is the wettest June in Portland history, enough already, a little sunshine and warm days so I can wear shorts and a t-shirt would be nice.

Yeah, but that's supposed to take 10-25 years depending on installation and environment.
