Reynolds/Beltre/Hart for Wright?

Postby richiro » Mon Jun 21, 2010 10:23 pm

Trying to decide If I should offer this. I know most people think I'm selling high on Beltre and Hart...but I think they have a good chance at keeping their numbers pretty solid all year.

Hart has always had potential, so I'm leary on moving him as he is just piling up HR's and RBI's. Beltre has looked really sharp this year, and being surrounded by Boston's lineup, I like his chances to see a lot of good pitches continually. Reynolds is Reynolds, for better or worse...

Is this a fair offer for Wright? I think the other owner might be inclined to look at current RANK instead of O-RANK so I was thinking of throwing this out there.

I also need to clear a space eventually to add Brett Anderson off DL, Plus I'd like to pick up Brennen Boesch for the ride. I'm also gonna probably look to move Wright or Longo for 2b/SS help. Thoughts? WHIR of course.

considering you are only playing reynolds of the three you are offering, I like this idea for you. you always want to get the best player in a shallow league and wright is the best of those four players.

It sounds like a lot to give up for Wright, but I certainly understand the logic. Like DVauthrin said, you are really only playing Reynolds although I would be playing Hart or Beltre over Markakis.

Do you not think you could just swing Reynolds, Beltre, Hart or a combo of them for a 2b or SS? You could skip this step.

I actually usually do play both Beltre and Hart over Markakis and Carlos Lee(picked up both on waivers this week)...I have to fix my roster.

You're right Dubstar, it would be easier to do exactly what you said. but the owners with good 2b/SS are a bit more tight fisted than the guy with Wright. His team is sinking, and he recently put Wright on the Trading Block, along with McCann and Heyward. I'd like to manuver a trade for Utley, and that will be easier for me with Wright in my back pocket, instead of the three I'm trading.

makes sense, if you could pull it of then flip Wright that would be great. Go for it!

Fair enough, I was just going off the lineup you posted. That said, I don't think you lose much playing lee compared to hart or beltre the rest of the way and I think between boesch and markakis you can come close to replacing the other bat you deal away. plus wright is much better than reynolds.
