I am currently the highest scoring team in my league but have been let down by my #4 and #5 starters...
My closers are good (Valverde, Bell, and Rauch). My only problem week to week is worrying which two to start..
J Johnson
Verlander
S Marcum
Baker
Nolasco
Hammel
DL - Happ
Minors - Bumgarner
I have an owner who wants my Carlos Santana pretty bad. I currently have Napoli on the bench as his back-up and would be stuck playing him if I were to move Santana for pitching.
What I have been offered is Haren, Bucholz, and Aardsma for my Santana, Marcum, and Rauch
I do not like this trade all that much and do not see how I am upgrading from what I currently have. Am I totally wrong here? Should I strike while the iron is hot with Santana or is the real deal?
Thanks in advance for any help...leave a link

I'm assuming that's Clay Buchholz in the deal. If so, you need to take it and run on pure value alone. Buchholz is as good as Marcum, and I'd much rather have Dan Haren and Aardsma for Rauch and a rookie catcher in Santana. You get two nice starters for one(and can cut hammel) and you have napoli on the bench to replace santana.
Plus since you only start two closers the drop off between valverde, bell and rauch is minimal.
hook em horns, go stros
