McCutchen for Neil Walker and Colby Rasmus?

Postby javcovelite » Mon Jun 21, 2010 12:22 pm

First off..this is a weird league...12 team league with regular 5x5 h2h cats, but your rosters are a bit different. You are allowed to only have one player in your lineup or bench from each MLB team. So if I get Colby Rasmus, I would have to drop my Cardinal, David Freese. I like McCutchen though, and I'm not sure if I'm getting enough for him. I could also get Neil Walker and Ian Kinsler for McCutchen which would be good considering I do not have a ranger representative. Could keep 14 this year, and probably at least 10 going into next season.

Not sure if anyone would need my rosters..

5 OF spots and my outfield eligible players are Adam Jones, Matt Kemp, Justin Upton, Curtis Granderson, Carlos Quentin (he is my DH), Jonny Gomes, McCutchen

My 2B eligible players are Howie Kendrick, Mike Aviles, Chone Figgins
My 3B eligible players are Adrian Beltre, David Freese, Chone Figgins, Brett Wallace(with a roster spot for each MLB team, having prospects is a good idea.)

My base stealers besides McCutchen include Matt Kemp, Jose Reyes, Justin Upton, Chone Figgins.

My main question is on Neil Walker, is he a legitimate player with a high ceiling? Colby Rasmus, I know is a good power hitter.

I'd hold on to Cutch. you have better 2nd base options already

rasmus and walker for mccutchen isn't enough. however, i'd be considering kinsler for mccutchen. 2b is a much harder position to fill than outfield and with upton, granderson, kemp, gomes, and adam jones on your team you have a talented group even without mccutchen.

Got this offer from him..

I send Howie Kendrick, David Freese, and Andrew McCutchen.

I receive Colby Rasmus, Ian Kinsler and Erick Aybar.

I'm thinking of doing this trade because Kinsler could heat up and Kendrick has been good but not great.

i'd make this deal. you get kinsler which is a big upgrade at 2b and rasmus is a nice replacement for mccutchen.
