Absolutely amazing. The Phils were nearly 100% into the 9th inning then the Twins were up to nearly 100% in the 11th then the Phils over 50% back to the Twins near 100%.

goes to show you that a win probably chart means squadoosh, especially if a game is touching the 100 % line.

What is the point of win probability graphs like this? Does anyone actually watch these live?

I doubt people watch them live, even if they are live but they sure are fascinating after the fact. They serve to demonstrate that the game of baseball, alone among all major sports, is not over until it literally is. No other sport can claim that.

The Tennessee Titans and Reggie Miller disagree with you.

Don't get me wrong; baseball is a great sport. But every sport has its share of miracle, nobody would have ever expected, they didn't just do that, I already turned off the TV and cleaned up the living room, comeback wins.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

The big difference between the big three - baseball, football, and basketball - and every other major sport is that the others can't give you the "instant hero".

That's why those sports will never compete with the big three. People love instant heroes.

i find it pretty stupid that each game starts off at 50 %.

cole hamels vs anyone should start out at like 101 % or so.
