Alfonso probably wont put up huge numbers like he did the one year but he should be better than last year

Brown, big risk as long as you didn't reach to high he is worth the gamble

Peter Gammons talked up Brown pretty good today on espn.com, but then again he had me convinced 3 years ago that John Riedling was the savior of the Reds bullpen. I expect 10-15 wins from Brown before he gets hurt again.

Rivera will be great again.

Alfonso put up pretty good numbers last season, and while I don't think his 2000 numbers are attainable again, 20 HR/.475 SLG/.390 OBP is reasonable.

Yeah, the last four years, practically anyone who Peter Gammons talked up in preseason was a major bust.

Still, I think Brown could be decent, but you can't expect him to be a staff ace until he proves it.

One thing's for sure, you know he's highly motivated to prove himself. Just watch him closely for the first month and don't remain overly loyal to him. If he's struggling mightily, drop him.

Pretty good round choices. I think Alfonzo is overhyped though. He's hitting BEHIND Bonds as opposed to have Bonds as his protection.

Something more like .280-20-90 is realistic.

Well, if hitting behind Bonds did wonders for Santiago last year...might be good for Alfonzo as well...at least that is what I am banking on.

Hitting behind Bonds is great. There's always someone on base. More RBI potential, plus pitchers have to go from the stretch with Bonds on 1st and Aurilia or Durhamn on 3rd.
