Package OF trade for Arod heyward. WHIR 100%

Postby JohnnnyD » Fri Jun 18, 2010 2:28 pm

In my H2H league (keep 2 only) the guy in last place is desperate to make a trade. Im trying to package some of my outfielders since I have so many and do a 2 for 1 or even a 3 for 2 trade. Heres my OF:

Jacoby Ellsbury

Mike Stanton

Carlos Quentin

Carlos Lee

Josh Hamilton

Manny Ramirez

I was thinking of offering him this trade:

David Wright, Carlos Lee, and Man Ram

for his

ARod and Jason Heyward

Do you think he'd accept being in last place? do you think I win here given my team:

12-Team, H2H, 5x5
***2 KEEPERS ONLY***

C Miguel Montero
1B Adrian Gonzalez
2B Chase Utley
3B David Wright
SS Jason Bartlett
OF Carlos Lee
OF Josh Hamilton
OF Carlos Quentin
UTIL Manny Ramirez
Bench Michael Stanton
DL Jacoby Ellsbury
Bench Miguel Olivio

P Chris Carpenter
P David Price
P Livan Hernandez
SP Cliff Lee
SP Mike Pelfrey
RP Andrew Bailey
RP Ryan Franklin
Bench Roy Oswalt
Bench Francisco Liriano
Bench Colby Lewis

Sorry, but I wouldn't hold much hope of him going for that. If I'm him, I'd see that as Wright + two old guys that could be replaced for whoever is hot that I can pick up on waivers for two legit studs. I wouldn't touch it if I were him.

If I'm him, and I'm willing to give up A-Rod, I'd want some pieces that I could build with in return. Wright + Hamilton. Or Wright + Price or Carpenter.

Here's a thought - does he need pitching? I don't believe that Roy Oswalt can keep it up, but he might see his HOT start to the year as something he could use on his team. Maybe Wright + Oswalt + Lee?

In any case, my guess is that he turns you down flat with your current proposal. Good luck!

Help with mine?

Wright is more valuable than A-Rod. You'd be downgrading at 3b.

I really don't like that trade. Like Geek said Wright is more valuable than A-Rod, and then I'd rather have Lee over Heyward right now. I'd still try to shop Manny to him or someone else in your league. I'm getting close to cutting him myself.
