First of all, I understand the love for NelCruz. I had him last year and when he's healthy, man oh man, does he crush it. However, last year, he was on the DL more often than not, and he's already trending that way this year. He's on-again, off-again, like that girlfriend that only calls you up when the real man of her dreams treats her badly.
My philosophy is that you're better off to get someone solid, dependable and forget the pain of the DL-prone players.
I have Garza. I understand why he's being offered right now. His last few starts haven't been stellar. I think he's a decent pitcher but not enormous. On the surface, this is a pretty fair trade. I'd also think about Strasburg (surprised he's on the block) because you can probably enjoy him for a few more starts and then parlay him into someone even better (that won't be innings restricted).
