Going the Cano route was potentially dangerous because he has a loyal following on here and I am at least the Vice-President of that following. That being said, I own Prado in three leagues and am perhaps even more ecstatic with the production he has given me, especially in H2H leagues where his batting average has been huge for me.

The reason this thread turned the way it did was based on your original post. You stated that Prado was having almost as good a yr as Cano, and well, that statement is just false because the numbers are a lot higher in every category except hits and cano has only 1 more sb. If you wanted to bring more attention to Prado, stating that he is having a great yr for where he was drafted, you should have stated that instead. Compare where his value is right now compared to all the other 2b and where their ADP were at the beginning of the season compared to Prado's and the thread would have been takin more seriously.
This.
I agree with you that Prado's value at ADP of 184 vs Cano at 31 is worth noting. I agree that he deserves more attention. He is clearly a top 2b.
But you can't compare their production. According to lastplayerpicked.com, which calculates $ values based on stats so far, Prado was #3 (behind Cano and Phillips) and worth $23 so far this year. And he has multiple position eligibility which is sweet.
But Cano is #1 on lastplayerpicked of ALL players, and at $41.
In my NL only I would rather have Prado than any other 2B. But if I was in a mixed league, I would want Cano.

You all think Cano is better than Prado.
So do I.
I never said otherwise.
Okay. You may now return to telling me that Cano is better than Prado.
Cano is better than Prado.

Your first mistake was bringing Cano's name up. Lately that's like staring into the mirror and calling for the Candyman around here. A certain someone is always going to come out and the results are never good for anyone.
That being said, I have Prado in a Cafe league and I've been very pleased so far.

There are multiple reasons why it's a bad idea to bring Cano's name up. He's arguably been best hitter/player in fantasy so far this year. Comparing almost anybody to him would garner a somewhat similar reaction from more than a couple people on here, me likely included. Could have gone with Utley, Pedroia, Kinsler.....pretty much any other perennial top 2B and it would have made a lot more sense.

Nice subliminal shot. Not my fault you had your 2B rankings all screwed up. Mine were spot on.
