I have been a huge fan of Berkman's for years but wondering if he is just to broken down to relive his past years. In a 12 team mixed points league I have an offer on the table in that I give up a suddenly hot Huff and Pavano and receive Berkman and Penny who I am hoping recovers by the end of the June. A few weeks ago this was a no brainer but not any more...what do you all think?

i picked up berkman when somebody dropped him earlier this season and he has been all over the board.
sometimes it seems like he's coming out of it and he's hot for a week. other times he goes days without getting a hit.
lately i've been trying my hardest to deal him everytime he gets hot. thus far, no bites.
so i would say don't waste your time. i don't think he's gonna be a consistent hitter anymore.
lil' help

Berkman has been awful. You're only hope on winning out on this trade is if the Angels trade for Berkman and he turns his season around there, which is not all that likely. On top of that you don't really know when Penny's coming back and how great he'll be. Really risky for you, imo.

Just traded Berkman and Melancon for A. McCutchen and L. Nuñez.
