I don't have a DL spot open, should I drop Street and move Billingsley to the DL and grab one of these starters? None of them look all that good:
Cahill, Ely, Floyd, Hammel, Medlen
Or I could dump a hitter for a starter, or just wait until Street or Cruz come off then swap them with Billingsley. But I don't want to be down a starter for too long.
Gavin Floyd has been on fire for the past few games (if you're talking about him). Cahill is meh, John Ely had good outings EXCEPT against the angels, who are a magnificent offense, so he isn't a bad choice. Not sure about Medlen or Hammel.
i would sit tight. street a bit too valuable to drop for any of those SP, and bills should most likely be back the first day he is available to come off the DL. however, if you feel you have to pick up someone i would grab medlin out of those options altho there is a possibility that he moves back to the pen when jurrjens gets back, although they might send kawakami to the pen. i'd sit tight though since there isnt any mouth-dropping options available.
Agree with Montana to sit tight. Your pitching is decent enough to hold over until Bills comes back. Street has to much value to just drop even if he is on the DL. Someone with a DL spot will more than likely pick him up in your league.
not so sure if anyone would jump on Street, Gregg and Jenks are FA right now so no one is hurting for a closer. I see what you are saying though. I have been getting crushed six weeks in a row, so I don't want anything else holding me back. I have a ton of ground to make up.
