Too much for Hanley?

Postby Surfs up » Tue Jun 15, 2010 5:14 pm

Is this too much to give up? I give Reyes , Holliday and Justin Upton . I get Hanley Hamilton and N. Morgan. My three guys can all be kept two more years after this year. Hanley can be kept three more years . Hamilton goes back to the draft.
My other keepers are Miggy, Utley, Pujlos, Mauer and I would keep one of either Cliff Lee, Josh Johnson or Liriano as my sixth keeper. This move would still help me for this year and I would get Hanley for three more years.

I didn't include we can only keep six players. They guys in my league don't like to trade all that much. I would have to decide which one to keep between, Holliday, Upton, Lee, Johnson or Liriano. I also have Bay that I didn't include. he still has two years as well.Miggy only has one year left .

I think it would be pretty decent if you got back a better third piece other than Morgan. If Hamilton can stay healthy he should put up some great numbers in Arlington in that stacked lineup.

I can probably get Werth since he is also done after this year. He has no reason to keep him. I might also be able to get him to throw Johan into the mix since his contract is also up . Thing is one of the other top guys might be willing to give him an upgrade in picks for either player. But we also are counting down in the season. 98 games left. Their value will go down especially Santanas since he only pitches once every five days.I am playing for this year but with an eye on next year and a couple after that.

If you really think you can win it this year I'd do it if you got Werth instead of Morgan.

I'm only 9 points out of first place. If I can get Werth and Hamilton for some power and rbi I'm sure I can win. But I just double checked and Werth still has one more year. Doubtful he would include him. His keepers would be Longoria, Hanley, Werth, Hughes, Beckham ??? and Price. The rest of his team is made up of throw backs middle to late rounders. I might be able to convince him to include Werth since he can only keep him one year ans my guys are all two years.
