Yeah, that's one of the things I was thinking about. But a fully healthy of for Oakland is Rajai Davis, Coco Crisp, and Ryan Sweeney. I'm not sure CoJax couldn't take as much time from those 3 as he would from Carter, if the callup came. But I haven't been following Oakland very closely, so I'm not very confident about that.

I'm guessing this confirms that Carter will be up in September at the earliest.
Also, it is clearly the move of a contender. :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L

We are 26th in runs scored and 22nd in OBP, so this is the correct move. :-?
More pls.

Typical bat OAK seems to always target. No power at all, decent contact decent k/bb type player... so basicaly a util 4th OF type. Just what OAK doesn't need more of. He's a Daric Barton replica...

9 Daric Bartons = the highest team OPS in the major leagues. Once Coco comes back there won't be a lot of room for him, but he'll get his ABs. It's not like Ryan Sweeney and Eric Patterson are worldbeaters.

A good deal for both sides. A's could always use some bats. And the D'Backs get some future help in the bullpen, which has been TERRIBLE for them all season
