Hanley???? WHIR

Postby amarlls » Mon Jun 14, 2010 8:54 pm

Im thinking of trading Hanley in my H2H league cause im fading fast. I need pitching pretty bad so I wanted to know what kind of value I can get for him. Can I get top pitcher plus extra? Ive also got other bench guys like Lind, montero, hill, lee I can add in also. I need top pitcher. One team has like carpenter/rollins? another lester/tulo? another verlander/billingsley/heath bell/haren. Ive also got drew on waivers if I choose not to get SS in return?? IDEAS??

Is hanley alone equivalent to pitchers like linecum, halladay, wainwright, johnson etc straight up?

it depends on the rest of his roster. hes going to have to drop someone, so it will depend on how his worsst player stacks up to the last guy you're trying to throw in. but i suspect nobody is going to trade both longoria AND halladay - they are the 2 best players at their postion so think about what they would be upgrading from their prospective

I traded Hanley for pitching because I was falling in pitching categories just like you. Fortunately for me I got Kershaw, Marmol, Gergerson (holds) for Ramirez, Billingsley and Hawpe. Right now I'm winning that dreal as long as Hanley doesn't start going crazy and end up finishing the year with an average like last season. Even if he does get hot, as long as Kerhsaw keeps getting me the wins and K's and Marmol gets me the saves I'll consider it success.

SS is a weak position. Is there anybody in free agent pool you can pick up and maybe try and pick up a closer for a good pitcher? Ramirez is not going to get you as much now as he would back in April. It's almost July and I don't see the Marlins winning that division or wild card. Still early but Braves and Phillies will probably be taking that division.

If you could pull of Carp + Rollins, I'd do that.

How many teams are in your league? Any reason why you have so many bats on your bench and so few arms? With Butler + AGon, no reason to hang onto DLee is there? Depending on rules, I'd be streaming in waiver wire SPs big time, watching for ideal matchups.

If you could get Lincecum or Halladay for Hanley, that might be worth a try.

Good luck!
