My team is second to last in power and I have an offer in to trade Joe Mauer with Matt Holliday for Jayson Werth and Garrett Jones - should I pull the trigger?
Yeah, I take that deal and grab Santana, no doubt. Werth and Jones will give you plenty of pop and although Santana is a rookie risk, Mauer hasn't been knocking the cover off the ball this year. Santana could end up giving you just as much as Mauer and you make a big upgrade over Holliday with that deal.
Even if you don't make this deal...grab Santana anyway and shop Mauer like a two bit....

I already have Santana, so I wouldn't have to drop anyone.
The problem is that, being in a 10 team league, people are more or less set at catcher, except for this guy, how has Olivo (Montero is on the wire and I have no clue why he doesn't pick him up instead, but that's another story).
So I have limited options in terms of where to send Mauer. I actually had him last year and traded him for Adam Dunn straight up for the last month and a half of the season. I'd love to get value like that back, but I don't see it happening.
I actually offered Mauer and Morneau for Albert, but the guy has just let it sit there.
I don't want to give him away, but in the end, MAuer's only worth what people are willing to pay, I guess... in the meantime, Santana is rotting on my pine...
