Jonny Gomes ...

Haven't seen a topic on this guy, so I wanted to see what you guys thought about him?

Home/Road splits indicate he definitley mashes at home. In fact, I think the Reds are one of the top ranked teams in terms of OPS.

His K to BB ratio isn't great .. but it's tough to ignore his numbers and RBI total.

Anyone kickin the tires on Gomes?
Remember me?

Amazing. 62 reads before me and NOT one reply. I dropped JD Drew for Austin Kearns a week . I may have missed his streak. Hasn't had a hit for me yet. Maybe another game or two I'll be looking at Gomes as a replacement in my 12 team 5x5. Hes getting lots of PT and producing.

There are some players who need regular playing time to stay more efficient so he just might be one of those. Keep a close eye on how he continues to fare against righties. The coaching staff has tried to work with him to avoid swinging at so many bad breaking balls from righties plus to look at driving the ball to all parts of the field thinking RBI instead of HR. However, it's hard for a leopard to change its spots so expect at least some regression.
