Wright and Gardner for a big group of guys

Postby toobitter » Fri Jun 11, 2010 4:40 pm

head to head 10 team mixed espn league

Got a trade proposal I'm making and want to get your guys' opinion.

I may be giving up a bunch of guys, but I get two studs out of it.

I give: 1B L. Berkman, 2B I. Stewart, SS S. Drew, OF M. Byrd, OF A. Torres
I get: 3B D. Wright and OF B. Gardner

I realize this looks like a lot, but there's a bunch of guys sitting on the wire that I want to pick up anyways (C Santana, 1B Cantu, 2B N. Walker, OF, J. Gomes).

Here's what my roster will be.

C - V. Martinez
1B - P. Fielder
2B - M. Prado
3B - D. Wright
SS - R. Furcal
IF - J. Votto
OF - T. Hunter
OF - B. Gardner
OF - S. Victorino
OF - C. Rasmus
UTIL - K. Youkilis
Bench - C B. Posey, OF M. Ramirez and 3 empty slots

SP - T. Lincecum
SP - M. Garza
SP - J. Vazquez
SP - C. Lewis
SP - J. Ely
SP - C. Richard
RP - R. Soriano
RP - D. Aardsma
RP - B. Lidge

I know my pitching is my major weakness now, but I've been winning consistently using spot starters and I figure I still have a bunch of good guys I can use to get one more ace (Youk, Posey, Manny, possibly Votto or Fielder and if Santana pans out, I've got 3 great C's to work with)

So what do you guys think? Am I giving up too much?
My pitching is still my weakness

when you've got 1 of the MLB RBI leaders as a FA on a 9 game hitting streak you can easily trade 5 for 2 and not worry about it.

Dude run (not walk) to the computer and accept that deal before that other guy wises up and rescinds it.

Please see mine.

the most depressing part about it is cantu is a free agent because this guy dropped him to make room for these guys.

i guess i shouldve just included him in the deal, eh?
