Looking for saves

Postby Surfs up » Fri Jun 11, 2010 12:57 pm

I'm within striking distance to move up two or three spots in saves. I have offered Ely up for trade to three or four GM's for a closer but no replies yet. They may want more. I'm in good shape in the other pitching catagories.
I'm looking at maybe dropping Ely for either Simon or Axford before midnight Saturday so it will count as this weeks transaction . Your thoughts on which I should go after or NOT? To me Axford seems the safeist . Has better numbers and probably will get more chances.

I just picked up both (dropping Qualls and Contrares) and have been happy with Axford so far. The question for Simon is his long term use as a closer- not sure when Mike will return?

Axford is the guy to grab, and David Hernandez is the current closer in Baltimore. I don't think Simon will get it back if Hernandez pitches the way he is capable of. He look solid last night. Grab him.

Please give me your thoughts on this ARod for Wright deal:
