I won a bet and a guy is sending me a local beer. He's given me a list of options, and, of course, I've never heard of any of them.

Any thoughts?

PC Pilsner
RI IPA
Tommy's Red Ale
Imperial Pilsner
Russian Imperial Stout
Porter - our cask conditioned ale

I think they're coming from here.

In order I'd want:
Imperial Stout
Imperial Pilsner
Cask Porter (should drink warmish)
RI IPA
PC Pilsner
Red Ale

I guess it depends on what you like. What do you usually order when you are out? Pilsners, ales, stouts, IPA's?

Is he sending you one beer or a six pack? If it's a six pack, maybe ask him to mix and match. :-?

Congrats on winning free beer too, free beer is the best beer. ;-D

Thx, guys.

I'm more of a pilsner type, but if others have tried a beer and swear by it (or loathe it), I'm not opposed to following their recommendations.

Since it's free, I'd just like to try something new. :-)

I'm more of a pilsner/lager guy myself. I like some stouts and a few IPA's, but honestly the super hop fad is not my cup of tea...er beer. Give me a good crisp, clean lager or pilsner any day. ;-D

That's generally my take, too.

I'm leaning toward that Imperial Pilsner until someone comes in with another opinion. :-D

I've never had it, but if you're a pilsner guy I don't see how you can go wrong. ;-D

That's what you won, one beer? What were you sending him if you lost, a six pack of Old Milwaukee? :-B

Provided he can find some way to get your beer to you intact and you're looking to try something new I wouldn't go with the Pilsner. That's likely to taste like Old Milwaukee. Stouts often have unique tastes, and their porter sounds interesting to me.
