What do you like to drink with good food?

I've never really got into the whole wine/food pairing thing. It's far too complex and I have a hard enough time getting a meal cooked up to worry about a wine to go with it. Beer is too heavy for me with a good meal and it has too much of a flavor that doesn't really pair well with tasty food. So for myself, it's either water or milk, but someday I would like to learn the art of wine pairing.

It wasn't Sam Adams but I did have a shandy with a steak a couple weeks ago and that was really good on a hot day.

If you can find a decent local wine shop, they should be able to talk to you about pairings. You can also find pairing suggestions on the labels of some wines.
