A-Rod leaves game with injury?

Yankees just pinch hit for him in the top of the second.

On top of the recent injury problems he's had, looks like yet another trip to the DL for him.

Several times during batting practice before the Yankees' game against the Orioles on Thursday night, Rodriguez appeared to be shaking his right leg as if he were trying to get it loose. Later, he walked gingerly into the clubhouse, with a slight limp.

Rotoworld says day to day with hip flexor tendonitits

Says he could pinch hit tonight...

Normally I'd say that is good news, but with the hip injury from last year, I'm not sure whether to be more or less concerned...

Definitely more. Chronic hip injuries are bad news--just ask Bo Jackson.

Yahoo reports through STATS inc. that a trip to the DL is possible. Not finding much in the way of updates . . . I kind of like to know NOW, I have a team in my league trying to trade me Arod!

A-Rod is 35 years old, his numbers have fallen off a cliff, and he has chronic injury issues. Lowball the guy (offer up maybe someone like Michael Young) and walk away if he wants more.

He's in my opposing team next week. The best scenario would be no play no DL. :-b :-b

Well, it is the same hip, so I'd be awfully skeptical of that.

A-Rod needs to switch over to a full time DH role like Vlad Guerrero did.

Perhaps. I'm not as quick to stick a fork in him, I still think he's got more left in the tank then you give him credit for, but I suppose that remains to be seen.
