What next? WHIR

Postby bosoxrock34 » Thu Jun 10, 2010 3:40 pm

I have been wheeling and dealing. Curious if there are any other moves I should make. I was thinking about selling High on RIOS. I am listing Rollins as starting SS because I am getting him in 4 days and he should be back in about a week. I only use 2 closers but most of the league does the same.

12 team h2h redraft

c olivio
1b howard
2b kinsler (just traded for him he has to start hitting
3b beltre
ss rollins
of ethier rios ordonez
util stanton hart
bench lind wiggington s.drew posey

sp
halladay, verlander, hanson, marcum, lackey, peavy, ian kennedy
rp
bell lindstrom

Only thing I can think of is to watch your closer situation. Lindstrom is far from a sure thing, which leaves you with one true closer. You might be able to get away with it, it's just something to take note of.

Nice team other than that

I think you're good, but I would look to deal one of your catchers unless you start two. Wait for Montero to come back though then Deal Posey high. I agree on the sell high Rios too, see what you can get for him, sending offers out never hurts

Pretty solid team. I'd be uncomfortable with Beltre at third, although he does often tend to have a strong second half.

Rios is really tough to call. I'm a Jays fan, and this guy's got a lot of natural talent, but rocks for brains. It was surprising to see just how awful he was after he went to Chicago last year. However, he's been on fire this year and he definitely has the talent to keep it up, so I don't really see it as a fluke, although he is prone to major slumps.

I might dangle him or Lind to try to upgrade at 3B. (Keep in mind, we all expect Lind to start hitting soon, although he is starting to worry me).

I don't love Beltre...I think if he were going to have a rebound year, it would have happened by now. Catcher depth could be used to get an upgrade at 3B.
I own Stanton as well, but I can;t say he's a starter yet. I'd put Lind or Posey in the UTIL spot for now.
Losig Rios makes you a little thin in the OF, unless Stanton hits. YOu may want to see what happens over the next 10-14 days and pull the trigger then.
Your SP is CRAZY good, you could look to make a minor move (posey, Lind, Hart) for a good RP.

THANKS.

I had better pitching but traded Kershaw for Lind hoping Lind was gonna break out. I drafted ARAM but dropped him recently. I have an itchy trade finger. My util I am playing the matchups.
