Justin Upton trade! WHIR!!!!

Postby RedBirdChica » Wed Jun 09, 2010 8:22 pm

A part of me thinks that Upton is a great buy low candidate ... but the other part is concerned about the lack of Arizona offense and his terrifyingly high KO rate (without the monster slugging potential that a Mark Reynolds offers).

A guy in my league has proposed two separate trades:

I get: Justin Upton
I give: Jose Bautista

I was lucky to pick up JB off of waivers ... and I like him a lot! My only concern with the guy is that they may shorten his playing time when Travis Snider returns from the dl ... which would be short-sighted IMO (but they are the blue jays).

I get: Juston Upton
I give: Josh Willingham

When I saw this, I initially thought: done deal. I keep waiting for JW to continue his correction down to earth, but his output seems to have stabilized. I could see him finishing 75/25/75/.275. Can I remotely anticipate that from Upton?

A second party has requested I send Josh Willingham for Carlos Pena ... but I'd rather have JUpton than Pena and his sub 200 BA. I'd also prefer to trade OF:OF.

Sorry, but I do think you are crazy for hesitating. I would accept either offer fast. I would do the Willingham one first though since you have a choice. ;-D

Yeah...I concur.

You should make either deal, but since you have your choice try the J.Willingham trade 1st.

I have J.Bautista on my squad. Claimed off Waivers. Been a great catch so far.
