Edit: sorry, I forgot to tell you the specifics. This is a 16-team 5x5 H2H Yahoo! league, non-keeper.
Hey guys... I'm a complete fantasy nubcake (this is my first year), and I'm trying to learn the ropes. I'd offer to help in return, but quite frankly, the only advice I could give would be garbage.

Either way, I recently traded to get Lidge so I could move Mariano, as I need some SP and Mo could fetch a better name than anyone else could have. One of the cellar-dwellers in my league has King Felix and sent me an offer for Mariano + Kelly Johnson for Felix + Chone Figgins. I obviously need some help at SP and have some RP help, as Lidge and Bailey would anchor my relief - what do you guys think? If it's not too much to ask, could you explain why (so I can try to make my own trade judgments in the future)? Thanks a bunch everyone.

I don't think it's a bad deal. I like Chone to become startable again real soon. Kelly Johnson has been a nice find this season but I think he's more of a question mark while Felix and Chone are both buy low candidates. Rivera is what he is, a rock solid reliever on a great team. I always lean towards starting pitching because I think aces are harder to find than saves.
It is close, maybe list the other team. There may be another good piece to snag but if not I would probably go ahead and do this deal.
Good Luck

Thanks for the input. I'm pretty hard-set on getting an elite pitcher/ace with the letdown that's been Greinke, but most of the aces in the league (Lee, Lincecum, Halladay, Ubaldo) belong to seasoned fantasy vets that won't deal anyone without getting a deal going massively in their favor. Are there any pitchers having seasons that are flying under the radar? I consistently lose Wins and I'm in last place (by a mile) in K's on the season. :x

The last place team in the league (dead last) has Carp and he's told the league that he's writing off his first half in hopes his players catch fire in the second half. Should I try to offer Mariano for Carp (assume it'll get rejected), and if he doesn't bite, what would you guys suggest as a counter offer? If you need his roster, I can grab it.
