I rejected Rollins, Peavy & Axford for Tulo & R. Soriano.
I then countered with Tulo, Soriano & A. Harang for Cliff. Lee, Rollins & Axford. The other owner acted like I offended him.
Was I shooting too high? I've been shopping Tulo for some starting pitching and have had a hard time gauging what is the correct value for him? What kind of starter should I expect in return.
This is a 12 Team H2H keeper points league.
[b][u]My team C - Suzuki 1B - Votto 2B - Uggla SS - Tulo, A. Ramirez 3B - M. Reynolds OF - Kemp, H. Pence, Werth, Headley SP - Haren, Kershaw, G. Gonzalez, Petitte, Harang, W. Rodriguez, Sheets, Francis, Scherzer RP - Soriano, Jenks, Dotel
No, your offer was quite fair. Don't fall for the other guy's antics. I'd hold onto Tulo or look to another manager if you're trying to boost your SP. Cliff Lee, Felix Hernandez, Verlander, and the like are examples of the caliber pitcher you should expect in a deal involving Tulo in my opinion. Heck, maybe even try to work a deal to get Lincecum since he's down right now.
Agree with the prior post. I like Napoli for this year but Posey for the long term. Napoli is very streaky though and an injury risk so you will have to be willing to ride the waves of his production.
I cant really say who you should try and trade Tulo for because so much depends on the needs of the other teams in your league. However I wouldnt settle on a deal just because you are trying to improve your pitching. Also, I find that it is sometimes easiest to get deals done when you keep it simple, just trading 1 for 1 or 1 for 2.
