Bay or Hawpe for Pena?

Postby go9ers » Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:33 am

Pena owner turned down my LaRoche offer...based on my team do you think it is adviseable to offer Hawpe or Bay for Pena (not sure if he'll bite on that one either)? Is Bay too much to offer for Pena? 10 team H2H redraft points league with no penalty for avg or strikeouts. WHIR

My team:
C: Martin
1B: Fielder
2B: Cano
SS: HanRam
3B: Reynolds
IF: LaRoche
OF: Bay, Choo, BJUpton
UT: Hawpe
Bench: Polanco, Stanton, Roberts (IR)

SP: Wainwright, Baker, Nolasco, Hamels
RP: Bell, Wilson
Bench: Valverde, Danks, Latos, Garcia, Lilly, Scherzer

Noting the settings in your league, I would say Bay for Pena is fair.

With too many Avg. drains on your roster(Reynolds, BJ Upton and Fielder), I don't know if I would add Pena.

I can attest to that, he's just been terrible this season especially w/ his avg, i own him, & am thinking of trading him...

But there is still a chance he goes on a streak & rewards you for the wait... at least that's what i've been told... But until then you need a nice, warm bench spot for him...

That would mean that you'd have to put in Stanton, who could do well or not, no one knows...

So no, i would keep Bay/Hawpe...

Thanks for the help! The league doesn't take avg or strikeouts into consideration though. What do you guys think about Bay/LaRoche for Pena/Pence or Span?
