Always get great help on this board.
I am in a deep keeper league. My offense is hurting and I need a solid consistent bat. I am platooning Furcal/Aviles at SS and it is the easiest position for me to upgrade. I have a lot of SPs.
I have been offered to send Jered Weaver for Jeter.
Would you make this trade?
I realize Weaver is a better keeper long term but I am in competition this season and want to make moves that can bring me a title. This move will leave me with:
Hughes
Romero
Ely
Leake
Burnett
and
Colby Lewis/Doug Fister as spot starters
I also have Bedard and Webb on the DL but lets ignore them.

I think you win the deal. Id do it.
It does leave your staff a bit thin but hopefully Hughes and Romero can keep it up.

Thanks.
My pitching staff is in the top three of my 15 team keeper league and I am already 100 innings over the pace on the season limit. It is best for me to dish a pitcher anyway since come September they will be used sparingly.

I would do the trade. No offense, but your pitching is a little weak, so losing Weaver will hurt. but IMO I would rather have all mediocre SPs and great hitting anyway over the one ace and mediocrity.
