Youkilis for Kinsler/Lee/Weaver? WHIR

Postby Guido_BagDonnavich » Fri Jun 04, 2010 12:00 pm

10 Teams
Batting: H, AVG, HR, RBI, R, SB
Pitching: W, L, ERA, WHIP, K, SV

I give: Kevin Youkilis
I get: Ian Kinsler, Cliff Lee, Jered Weaver

Youkilis is having a great year, but I already have Fielder and Zimmerman. My second baseman is Guzman so I badly need an upgrade at 2B. Will Kinsler start to produce at a higher level? I like Lee and Weaver a lot, but pitching is very easy to find this year and my staff isn't terrible as is.

Current Roster:

C - Kurt Suzuki
1B - Prince Fielder
2B - Christian Guzman
SS - Starlin Castro
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
OF - Matt Kemp
OF - Justin Upton
OF - Brennan Boesch
Util - Kevin Youkilis
Util - Michael Cuddyer
Bn - Carlos Santana
DL - Jason Bartlett

SP - Felix Hernandez
SP - Clayton Kershaw
P - Justin Verlander
P - Stephen Strasburg
RP -
RP - Drew Storen
Bn - Chad Billingsley
Bn - Mike Leake
Bn - Ervin Santana
Bn - Max Scherzer

Leave me a link and I'll help you out too.

Thanks!

I usually nix deals where I'm giving up less players, because you have to factor in the two guys you plan on dropping before seeing if it's fair.

Let us know who you plan on dropping, and then compare the deal.

It would probably make sense to drop two of Leake, Santana, and Scherzer, but are you punting saves? Because I'd ask for a closer of his before Lee or Weaver.

If you're punting saves, I'd like the deal if it's a daily league rather than weekly. Otherwise 4 of those 8 starters you'll have are just gonna be on the bench regardless.

Not sure if that made any sense, but just my .02.

Good deal for you...Kinsler upgrades your 2B (I think he'll be great post-AS break) and you get two STUD pitchers. I'd probably drop either Guzman or Castro and then Ervin or Max.

Actually, I wouldn't need to drop anyone important. I would drop Guzman and I already have 1 open roster spot. So far I have punted saves, but I'm trying to see if he can include a closer in the deal.

I'd go for it, but as a previous poster stated...if you do not plan on punting saves, trade for a closer or two.
