This would be a big trade for both sides, but is it worth it for me? I'm doing ok in pitching stats right now, only behind on saves and holds. I'm not too worried about holds, but saves are hard to come by. Also, my hitting has been slow to progress, and it is still a far cry from impressive.
Ubaldo... hard to swallow even thinking about trading him away, but he gets peoples' attention. I have CC, Shields, Anderson, Danks and Slowey backing him up right now, so as long as Anderson can stay healthy, I should be able to maintain decent stats. Baker is a buy-low candidate, or at least I think he is. I tried trading Qualls away, but he insists on Lidge. Fielder is a bit of a question mark, but he's not going to get any worse, and even his bad streaks aren't all that bad. I'm struggling in HR, RBI, and OPS - last in each category. However, I'm first in SB - by a long shot (90 on the year so far) - hence the reason Crawford is in the equation. I hate to trade him away as he is a great all around guy, just not a lot of consistent power. Soria is my target for saves, which I could use much improvement in that category.
What's your take on this trade offer?
