Need quick advice! Braun/Butler for Kemp/Lincecum? WHIR

Postby Guido_BagDonnavich » Thu Jun 03, 2010 12:58 pm

10 Teams
Batting: H, AVG, HR, RBI, R, SB
Pitching: W, L, ERA, WHIP, K, SV

I give: Ryan Braun, Billy Butler
I get: Matt Kemp, Tim Lincecum

What do you think of this deal? Braun and Kemp are pretty even, so will Lincecum go back to his normal self? Will Butler hit .330 all year?

Current Roster:

C - Kurt Suzuki
1B - Prince Fielder
2B - Ian Stewart
SS - Starlin Castro
3B - Ryan Zimmerman
OF - Ryan Braun
OF - Justin Upton
OF - Brennan Boesch
Util - Billy Butler
Util - Michael Cuddyer
Bn - Carlos Santana
Bn - Jason Bartlett

SP - Felix Hernandez
SP - Clayton Kershaw
P - Justin Verlander
P - Stephen Strasburg
RP -
RP - Drew Storen
Bn - Johnny Cueto
Bn - Mike Leake
Bn - Ervin Santana
Bn - Max Scherzer

Leave me a link and I'll help you out too.

Thanks!

I would keep what you have. Your SP is already solid and no real need for Lince, where Butler is nice protection for Prince.

That is tough my friend...I think it's a no brainer if Timmy gets his act together, which is probable, but then again, you look at a Mark Prior, who in an instant went from a Elite SP to a nothing full of injuries. That has always been my concern with POWER pitchers, is their lack of long term abilities.

I still love Braun/Butler as young as they are, and Kemp, well I am not a huge fan. I think it boils down to your gut. On paper, TL/MK wins, but in reality, that's your call.

help me if you can.

Butler is nice in this league since hits are the 6th category, but I still like the Lincecum/Kemp side. That is two first round picks right there. Sure, Lincecum may now be considered second round, but regardless, Braun and Kemp are pretty close, and Lincecum is worth far more than Butler. Take the deal.

Help with mine?

This is a really close trade, does it help at all if he adds in Hunter Pence and I add Ervin Santana?
