Okay, i admit, im under the Strasburg spell. Who isnt. My team has a lot of hitting for a 14 team H2H league...im wondering if i should go for the experiment in Wright and take the risk in Strasburg.
(Very key note here, no negatives for strikeouts....)
My hitting:
C: weiters
1st: Prado (i was a victim of the Kendry Morales idiot moment)
2nd: k Johnson
3rd: Beltre
SS: Drew
OF: Braun
OF: J. Upton
OF: Heyward
DH: McCutchen
SP: Grienke
SP: Hanson
SP: Anderson, B.
SP: Leake
(we start 4)
reserve pitchers: Ely, Matsuz, Porcello, Medlen, Carmona.
the more im looking at this deal. The more i kinda need strasburg. BUt i really DONT want to deal Braun.
i offered him Upton and Leake, but havent heard back.
Another team offered me Fielder and Anibal Sanchez for Braun....that one meets more of my NEEDS, but still...strasburg is on the brain.
thoughts?

I am a Wright and Strasburg owner and I am a big fan of both of them. However, I don't think you need to deal a top 3 player like Braun to get them. I would wait to hear back on your first offer. As looked over your lineup that is the trade I would have offered too. I am doubting the other owner would part with Strasburg for Leake, but you never know until he responds.
Is this a keeper league? Would you be able to part with Heyward? The other owner might demand him. If this isn't a keeper league, then a large part of Strasburg's appeal is gone. Just thinking out loud here... In any event, I don't think I would give up Braun -- he's just too valuable. HTH

If you are in a Keeper League...then yes...I would make this deal.
It doesn't make near as much sense as others have pointed out if you are not in a Keeper League.

Great responses all!
i will limit my man love for strasburg by not dealing for him in this league as it is NOT a keeper.
I have him in both my keeper leagues and thats enough.
I offered another team J Up for Dan Haren....but he is hesitant to do it.
He offered me Prince and A Sanchez for Braun...i said make it Latos and perhaps we can get it done.
I think my main concern would be to find a 1st baseman since Morales is a lost cause this year and who knows if Prado can just keep hitting.
What do you all think of those offers, along with this one.....Braun for Haren and Butler.
thanks!
