Need to pick up a SP off Waivers

Postby teezy33 » Wed Jun 02, 2010 2:42 pm

Jurrjens is a FA in my league so I'm going to pick him up, stash him, and hope he comes back strong after the All Star Break...

In the meantime, I can pick up another SP to replace him on my bench (I currently have Felix, Hanson, Gallardo, Anderson, Dempster, Lilly, and Ely). In a 12 team mixed H2H points league, these are some options:

Colby Lewis
Edwin Jackson
Joey Blanton
Mitch Talbot
Aaron Harang
Brian Bannister
Homer Bailey (if he comes off the DL when he's eligible on the 8th)

Yikes, talk about slim pickings :-o Any thoughts?

Interesting take...wasn't leaning towards him with his high ERA and gopher ball tendencies...what's your logic there?

I would pick up Colby Lewis

Also I would see if Brian Tallet is available, just came back off DL yesterday and even tho the Jays blew it, was the bullpen. Tallet 5 2/3 scoreless innings against Tampa Bay. I would pick him up and drop Ted Lilly

I would pick up Lewis. Jackson did pitch a good game today but he makes me nervous.
