Tim Hudson & Cole Hamels were just dropped. WHIR!

Postby krunchyfrogg » Wed Jun 02, 2010 1:43 pm

Who do I drop for one (or both) of these guys. If only one, I should be targetting Hamels, right? I currently have the 3rd waiver priority. Roster is in my signature, and I'm only interested in dropping another starting pitcher for one of these guys.

I really need help with W, K, WHIP.

TIA

BTW, here are some other notable FA pitchers on the WW (I listed this in a thread yesterday, but I should repost as it's relevant. :))

Ricky Nolasco
Anibal Sanchez
Wandy Rodriguez
John Ely
Jon Garland
Trevor Cahill
Matt Belisle
Mike Leake
Brett Cecil
Carlos Silva
Jeremy Bonderman

Drop Cueto. He's been great recently (except last night) but I don't trust him to keep it up. He might have a really nice season but with all these other options I'd dump him. I think these other responses are about right: Hamels, Nolasco, Hudson, Sanchez...that would be how I'd start ranking them.

I agree on dropping Cueto but keep and eye on Carlos Silva. If you can pick him up intime for his upcoming start against houston, then do it.

I'd have to agree with popular opinion and say drop Cueto and nab either one, Hudson over Hamels, personally. I'd also consider dropping Garza for them too.

I would keep Cueto over Mike Adams. No need for him that I can see

Adams for Hamels then Nolasco then Ely
I could see dropping Cueto for Nolasco but I would give Cueto a little more rope than everyone else here.

Id do Cueto for Hamels.

Id also do your best to try and grab Nolasco too but I won't suggest who to drop as you only said you're interested in dropping a SP :-)

Mine?

Sorry about that, didn't see the thing about droping only a SP for either of them; I guess then I would drop Cueto for Hamels.

But I still don't see a need for Adams IMO, unless there are holds in your league - which you didn't state that is the only reason I see as to have him.
